The Starting Point Baptist Church (SPC) is an evangelical, Bible teaching church serving the community in Houston, Santa Fe and Hitchcock area. We serve long-term residents of the area while providing a “home away from home” for those coming for a shorter period of time. We enjoy the diversity of the many different nationalities, denominations and traditions represented in our fellowship.

SPC wants you to know that we are dedicated to meeting the needs of people wherever they are in life. It is the simple purpose of our site to introduce you to those areas of our ministry which are relevant to your life at this time. We work together to experience and share the benefits of the Christian faith with others. And we invite you to discover the acceptance, hope and renewal that we have found in Jesus Christ.

Pastor William

Pastor William, after having spent over 25 years in Germany starting Churches, has been led of God to return to the US. Second Street Baptist Church called William to be their pastor on December 2, 2018 to rebuild this Church for God's Glory and Honor. William has been in ministry since 1983. He married Kathleen, the love of his life, on December 19, 1986. They have four children, William D., Stefan, Phillip, & Heidi.

He brings a range of experience with him. He has served as Youth Pastor, Singles Pastor, Assistant Pastor and Pastor. Pastor William and his family are looking forward to seeing God perform great miracles in this area with seeing many changed lives!
